Twenty Dollar 1966-1993
The likness of Sir Charles Kingsford Smith on the note was taken from a portrait study by Dr. Julian Smith. In the centre of the front of the note are pendulum tracings symbolic of wings. In the Knight/Wheeler issues the metalic security thread was moved from near the centre to about 55mm fram the edge to prevent undue wear and tear caused by its former proximity to the natural fold area. in the following signature combination of Knigh/Stone the serial numbering changed from "Gothic" to "OCR-B" style. However, two signatures combinations later in Johnson/Fraser, a print run was also issued with "Gothic" serial numbering when the usual numbering machine was not available.
